Jessica Shepherd, MD, MBA, is an obstetrician/gynecologist and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic surgeon and founder/CEO of Sanctum Med + Wellness, a concierge wellness concept in Dallas, TX. She specializes in endometriosis, fibroid, and minimally invasive surgical approaches to gynecologic diseases. Dr. Shepherd is a media expert and appears regularly on Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, Dr. Oz, The Talk, in addition to radio programs nationwide such as Doctors Radio, and Tom Joyner. She has multiple publications including several book chapters and several academic articles related to gynecology and women's health. She is on the Women's Health Magazine, Womenshealth.org, Ro Medicine, Abbvie Health and Rappore medical advisory boards She has written in various journals including Forbes, Cosmopolitan, Vogue, Teen Vogue, Women's Health Magazine, Women's Day, Self, Family Circle, Parents, Essence, and WebMD. In addition to radio programs nationwide such as Doctors Radio, and Tom Joyner. As an health care expert, she strives to educate women on their bodies and how to address their physical, sexual, emotional health in addition to the incorporation of wellness. She is a national speaker for Poise, Ceek, U by Kotex on women's health issues. She gives lectures nationally and internationally on fibroids and myomectomies and women’s health issues, and contributes to several blogs. Her keynote talks at BlogHer 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2020, Chronicon, Well Summitt and Blogalicious has allowed her to bring her love for women's health and medicine to the conversation of so many women. Through her patients, she has learned that women’s health issues are not discussed enough and that there is a need have conversations on these matters that affect us.
