After leaving Transport for London, I founded JFG Communications. We're a public affairs consultancy specialising in stakeholder engagement, political communications, diversity and decarbonisation. We work on a range of innovative, industry-leading projects with clients in the transport, infrastructure and construction sectors. I'm an expert in creating innovative ways to connect people and policymakers. I help our customers engage their stakeholders, build advocacy about what they do, and inform and influence policy. I'm passionate about using the power of public affairs to improve gender balance in the transport industry. This is at the heart of my company's ethos. Experience I have almost 20 years leadership experience, giving strategic advice on campaigns, building stakeholder support and advocacy, policy development, crisis communications, and managing corporate reputations. I have significant experience working in large, complex organisations and high-pressure political environments. My experience includes building stakeholder support and advocacy for high-profile national infrastructure projects including HS2, Crossrail 1, Crossrail 2, the Tube upgrade and the 2012 Games. I work with large numbers of stakeholders across multiple sectors including business, trade associations, charities and campaign groups, environmental groups, equalities groups, Parliament, devolved institutions, local and national government. I'm an expert in workplace diversity, vulnerable customers and innovative youth and community engagement. I have a Master's degree in social science research methods and I use this to underpin research, consultation and stakeholder engagement to inform policy development and influence public policy. I believe in early engagement to connect people and policymakers, enabling better policy decision making. I am an experienced non-executive director, board and committee member. How I do it I build relationships, teams, networks and coalitions. I put in place structures and processes, and find practical solutions to get things done.
