Bio

I am an Engineer turned Business Psychologist, specialising in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. My mission is to ensure that tech is built by, and equally benefits, all members of society. I am Founder and Director of Inclusioneering, a social enterprise offering Diversity and Inclusion consultancy in the technology and engineering domains. Alongside this, I am Director of People Data and Insights for AVEVA, a leading FTSE 100 technology firm. I hold a number of voluntary positions, including committee member of BCS Women, the women’s specialist group of the BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and Fellow of AI ethics and audit charity, ForHumanity. I began my career as an engineer, developing enterprise software for global industry, spanning energy, automotive, aerospace and marine sectors. Having pivoted my focus from the technical to human dimensions of engineering, I now work as a Business Psychologist. I hold an MSc in Organisational and Business Psychology, with thesis research topic “Lessons for Gender and Racial Diversity within Technology”, investigating what I call ''The Agile Inclusion Paradox''. My long experience working as an engineer has brought me deep understanding of the engineering culture, and lived experience as a woman within it. This complements my formal training to bring greater insights to my work of diversity and inclusion in tech and engineering domains.
