Founder and senior consultant of Xcelrate UDI, Inc., Joan has over 24 years of design, development, implementation and project leadership experience with healthcare applications. She has worked on Cerner, Epic, McKesson and other EHR/EMR systems. She has integration expertise with ERP systems such as Lawson, PeopleSoft and other material management systems in addition to other surgical systems such as GE, TrackCore, CensiTrac. Joan is a Cerner Certified SurgiNet Specialist and Anesthesia expert with PathNet, PharmNet, FirstNet, CareNet, Meds Admin, Scheduling and Charge Services specialties. She has helped hospitals recover millions in lost billings and uncovered technical problems affecting patient safety. She has identified system issue showing millions in misreported minutes for OR case attendees. She has streamlined implant documentation, reducing the time from minutes to seconds, while improving data quality, regulatory compliance and patient care.
