Bio

Joe Vest has worked in the information technology industry for over 17 years with a focus on security through red teaming, penetration testing and application security. As a former technical lead for a DoD red team, he has extensive knowledge of cyber threats and their tactics, techniques, and procedures to include threat emulation and threat detection. Joe co-founded the security company MINIS LLC in 2014 which was acquired and merged with SpecterOps in 2017. By joining SpecterOps, Joe has teamed with a leader in adversarial emulation, detection, and mitigation. He was the author of the original SANS SEC 564 Red Teaming and Threat Emulation course.
