I am currently Course Director for Business Studies (Part-time students) and Senior Lecturer in Digital Transformation within Ulster University Business School, specifically within the school's largest department: the Management, Leadership and Marketing. Previously, as a researcher, lecturer and doctoral candidate I focused on digital events and delivered classes to MSc & BSc level. My duties have included coordinating and guest lecturing on Marketing Communications, Enterprise & New Venture Creation, e-Business Strategy, Research Methods and others. My particular passion is through Digital Marketing approaches which enhance student awareness and appreciation to the importance of the internet and digital media to the field of commerce. I have also guest lectured My past work at Northern Regional College combined my 2 passions of supporting learning and increasing capability. I combined 2 roles. The first was as a mentor on the Employer Support Programme which involves three main objectives: -Providing practical support to small business in priority sectors to enhance their capacity to develop new commercial products and processes -Stimulating Innovation, R&D and creativity to support entrepreneurial activity in small business through Market Research Marketing planning, strategy and implementation eMarketing & Social Media for hospitality & tourism businesses Mobile Marketing for hospitality & tourism businesses Apps Development Networking Project Collaboration Cluster development Community Tourism Previously - as an app developer at Awakin - I built simple, practical and useful experiences to support visitor experiences. Our chosen tools were: Smartphone Apps Mobile Ready Web iBooks Social Games Facebook Delivery Twitter Strategy & Responsible E-Marketing Clients included BBC, Belfast City Council, Channel 4, National Trust and many local councils.
