John is a Policy Analyst focused on the digital economy and private-public sector partnership in the UAE. He has worked at the intersection of government and digital in the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. In Jordan, John founded a successful digital publishing startup and served a Senior Analyst at the Royal Court. In 2021, he was awarded a Google Research Fellowship to the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government based in Dubai World Trade Center. Research included the post Covid-19 Digital Economy, in addition to published papers and Chatham House roundtables on virtual assets, 'Web3' and gaming. Growing up in the Art's and creative industries, John has a background in History, Film, Art and Citizen Media. He enjoys VR, but also a good novel.
