With demand for connectivity and data consumption growing at an accelerating pace across the Pacific, we believe this meshed network infrastructure is going to benefit businesses and communities greatly. As the Director of SES in the Pacific, my team and I work with senior leaders across the region to understand their current challenges in bringing greater connectivity to remote areas. We enable organisations in both the public and private sector to build robust business cases for investment in next-generation satellite communications systems. With more than 25 years’ experience as a consultant and senior leader in the telecommunications sector in Australia and globally, particularly specialising in internet back-haul to under-served and remote locations, I bring a long term understanding of connectivity challenges and how to resolve them. I believe in having forthright commercial discussions with our clients that offer the optimum solution for their level of investment. I’m proud of my role in building many solutions that have enabled economic and social change in previously under-served areas. As a leader, I enjoy working across different cultures by creating an open and transparent culture where every team member is encouraged to contribute their ideas and feedback to each project.
