I'm a healthcare venture capitalist with 25 years' experience as a start-up CEO, investor, board member and investment banker working across the UK, US and Europe. I love innovation and solving big problems. Currently, I'm a Partner at Downing LLP, where I co-head Healthcare Ventures. For 8 years, I served as CEO of Quanta Dialysis Technologies, which we built into one of the most prominent emerging medical technology companies in the industry. Highlights at Quanta included raising nearly $400 million in funding, launching the company’s commercial offering in the UK and the USA, and receiving the MacRobert Award for engineering excellence for our ground-breaking, portable hemodialysis device. Prior to Quanta, I was an Investment Director at NBGI Ventures focused on MedTech investments. I've also served as an executive at the venture-backed start-up Nitec Pharma (merged with Horizon Therapeutics), after working as an investment professional at Atlas Venture and Kirkland Investors and an investment banker at Nomura and Lehman Brothers.
