After a decade in media and a year in web3 venture capital, I'm looking for my next professional adventure after being impacted by layoffs at Crypto.com in January 2023. For now, you can catch me every week via my newsletter covering Asia's tech news: asiatechreview.com I've had an unconventional working life so far but it has been an amazing ride that's given me some really priviledged experiences, including: - Writing tech news for top online media outlets - Developing feature stories that delve into Asia tech and provide real insight - Meeting hundreds of founders, including many 'successful' CEOs who enjoyed big exits or success - Working with and mentoring teams with exceptionally talented and hungry journalists - Learning about subscription media from the front lines at a venture-backed subscription media outlet - Experience and exposure to the full process of venture capital deal making: from origination, negotiation and legal to final closure - Closing investments and working directly with great founders - Mentoring and advising accelerator programmes, incubators and other founders/startups - Building an incredible network of founders, VCs and other tech folks across Asia, Europe and the US - Building a high-profile platform across social media I'm looking closely at opportunities in web3 venture capital, regular venture capital and media for my next chapter so do get in touch if you think we should chat!
