In August 2014, I co-founded memobottle™ with close friend, Product Design Engineer, and all-round legend Jesse Leeworthy. memobottle creates convenient, premium & sustainable designs aimed to inspire a more reusable society and reduce single-use product consumption globally. The idea stemmed from two problems that we saw with society; single use water bottle consumption and its disastrous environmental impact, and the frustration of not being able to fit conventional water bottles in carry/laptop bags. Today, based out of Melbourne, Australia, memobottle (a certified B-Corporation) has products stocked in hundreds of premium retailers globally, ships to 70+ countries and has won a number of International Design Awards. Our partnership with water.org has helped to provide clean drinking water to over 10 million people in need, and we've been able to prevent the consumption of over 100 million single-use bottles through the use of memobotle products. Prior to founding memo bottle, I spent 6 years as a Financial Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (USA), The Siegfried group (USA) and Deloitte (AUS), performing Accounting, Financial and Consulting services for a vast range of clients from small start ups to Fortune 500 and ASX listed. I am a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAA). Before starting in Public Accounting, i obtained a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University (Clayton, Melbourne). Mid studies, i spent 6 months living in remote Indigenous communities at the top end of Australia working with the Australia Football League (AFL) as a Regional Development Assistant promoting healthy and sustainable lifestyles within disadvantaged communities, fostering Motivation amongst Indigenous Youth, and organisation of community based funding and activities. .
