Biochemistry PhD student @ University of Aveiro Bioinformatician at FairJourney Biologics, Porto I've studied Biotechnology, at University of Aveiro, with a focus on Environmental and Industrial Biotech. On my Master's thesis, I developed CarbGen (https://github.com/JosePereiraUA/CarbGen.py), a tool for the computational design of carbon micro cristallites models. I quickly found my passion in computational chemistry and software development. I learned Python, Java and, more recently, Julia. On my PhD, I developed ProtoSyn.jl, a tool for molecular manipulation and protein design (https://github.com/sergio-santos-group/ProtoSyn.jl).
