As a founder turned venture capital investor, I have a distinctive perspective on building and scaling businesses. With over a decade of experience founding companies and working with some of Europe’s most ambitious entrepreneurs, I have gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities that arise at different stages of the startup journey. My entrepreneurial journey began with the founding of La Nevera Roja, a food delivery startup that quickly became the largest player in the Spanish market. As the founder and CEO, I was responsible for driving the company's growth, from raising €10m in capital to building a high-performing team, culminating in its acquisition by a listed German company for c.100m in less than 40 months after launch. Building on the success of La Nevera Roja, I co-founded Samaipata, a venture capital firm that focuses on investing in early-stage digital businesses with network effects. As the founder and managing partner of Samaipata (€150m AUM), I have the privilege of working with a stellar team distributed across Europe in our offices in London, Paris, and Madrid. I am passionate about working with ambitious entrepreneurs who dare to be bold, think differently and better the world. At Samaipata, we help them bring their vision to life and provide the support and resources they need to succeed through our founder success platform, ''The Hive.'' My focus now is on investing in extremely sticky, highly scalable, and defensible products (mostly B2B) with network effects.
