I am a post-doctoral associate (and incoming assistant professor) in process systems engineering applying computational methods in uncertainty to tackle environmental, societal, and sustainability challenges arising in engineering and science. I leverage my 10+ years of expertise in advanced decision-making (optimization) under uncertainty and data-science, coupled with my extensive computer science expertise, to develop powerful modeling and decision-making computational frameworks that enable field experts to make effective predictions and decisions. Ongoing and proposed challenge areas in my investigations include rare earth element and critical material (REE-CM) recovery, environmental emission monitoring, robust energy infrastructure assessment/design, disease analysis/control, and wildfire mitigation.
