I come from a computer science background with a strong focus on software engineering, business values and user experience. This is my story: My love for computers took me on the journey to craft my first website back in 2005; I fell in love with the approach immediately. Quickly jump-started his career by maintaining and building small websites for a renowned Library while pursuing a degree in Computer Science. First dabbled with Ruby while back at University. I started studying open source libraries and building Ruby on Rails applications in my free time. It was 2011 when I landed my first full-time job (in Ruby) working for an American company. My love for the language leads me to create the first Ruby software consulting company based in the Dominican Republic in 2013: Pixel Perfect Tree. There, I built next-generation online products with a talented group of individuals for companies based in New York, London and Puerto Rico. In November 2016, Pixel Perfect Tree was acquired by GFR Media which provided me with an exit to keep doing what I love: Building Software. I took a leap of faith and moved to London. Went back to being an Individual Contributor at a FinTech: GoCardless, and what a ride it was, for perspective - I got hired as employee number 80 and by the time I left the company I was employee number 260, within two years. An opportunity to join Grafana Labs came along and I jumped the ship, as one of its first 50 employees. At about 800 people with a 3-year mark, I now Lead the Alerting Team at Grafana. I'm a Gopher, contributor and maintainer to some of the most high profile Open Source projects such as Mimir, Grafana, Prometheus, Cortex and Alertmanager.
