When I began my professional career at Accenture in 1989 the business and the world were quite different. The great technological transformations were still in their early stages and Spanish companies were beginning a highly dynamic period of mergers and acquisitions before their internationalization. Accenture played a crucial role in those years, earning a reputation in Spain as a highly valuable ally in all business areas and industries. At that time, I specialized in the financial services industry, occupying executive roles in Spain and abroad and I took charge of Accenture's banking area worldwide. My priorities have always included innovation and people: if you want to change your results, you have to change the way you do things. Today it is my great privilege to be Chairman and CMD of Accenture Iberia (Spain, Portugal and Israel), promoting innovation to improve the way in which the world lives and works. Together with the Board of Directors, I am leading all strategic initiatives in the Iberia Region using a business model based on innovation and a commitment to the digital transformation of the country's leading companies and which now accounts for 55% of the company's turnover. This has been achieved by applying a Responsible Consulting model aimed at contributing to the sustainable development of its clients, its professionals and society in general.
