I am an entrepreneur and the founder of Daphne Technology. I am passionate about using innovation to create a positive environmental impact. Daphne Technology’s mission is to reduce air pollution produced by the global shipping industry, the backbone of the global economy, and is a VC funded start-up supported by Aramco and the Swiss Innovation Cluster. The start-up is ranked in the Top 100 Swiss Start-ups as #22. In Daphne Technology I have combined my two previous careers as a professional in the marine industry and as a scientist and engineer. I graduate from the Colombian Naval Academy and worked as a Merchant Ship Deck and Engineering Officer on board a variety of commercial ships. I have sailed along the entire Atlantic and Pacific coasts of North and South America, the Mediterranean and have crossed the Atlantic. I subsequently completed my PhD, then Post-Doctoral Research at the CERN Antimatter Factory where I contributed several Nature Publications on the subject of the symmetries of the universe. I am now the CEO of Daphne Technology and have completed a Global Executive MBA from INSEAD to help me lead the company into the future.
