As Chief Investment Officer, I am primarily responsible for guiding the investment strategy, structuring and deployment of Scale's capital into distributed energy resources and energy infrastructure assets. In this role I'm building on over a decade of experience in renewable energy capital markets with varied roles as tax equity investor, banker, consultant and sponsor. In that time I have led or participated in the raising of over $2.3 billion of capital for renewable energy projects (wind, solar and geothermal) in the US utilizing tax equity, senior non-recourse debt and back leverage. Prior structuring and capital markets experience includes Asset Backed Securities (ABS) of subprime mortgages, credit cards, pooled aircraft leases, EETCs and other asset classes with a total transaction value of nearly $13 billion.
