Jyotika is the Director of Data Science at Placemakr where she leads data intelligence and algorithm development for optimizing profit for high revenue generating properties. Previously, Jyotika was heading the Data Science team at ICX Media where she developed novel solutions that led to the business foundation, multi-million dollar deals, and a successful acquisition. She built a proprietary ML and NLP APIs that took in social media content, performed extractions and extrapolations, and enriched 85 Million audience profiles, 300 Million consumer profiles, and 700+ classified predictive insights for big brands like Sony, iHeartRadio, US Air Force, and HBO Max. Jyotika graduated with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she researched speech processing, speech classification, audio processing, natural language processing (NLP), big data, supervised & unsupervised machine learning, object detection and recognition, deep learning, and digital signal processing. Jyotika has authored multiple patents in data science, machine learning, classification and re-classification techniques. She has been invited as a speaker by over 20 conferences/events across the globe to share her expertise with the community. Jyotika has open-sourced her work to make it available to the community for usage and technical contributions. Jyotika is the creator and maintainer of the open-source Python Library 'pyAudioProcessing', which includes tools for analysis, feature extraction, and classification of Audio data, and 'pyYouTubeAnalysis' library for analysis of social media data. Her open-source work has been downloaded more than 22,000 times and finds applications in healthcare, automotive, academia, and the enterprise. She is passionate about encouraging women in STEM and continues mentorship efforts to support the topic. She volunteers as a mentor at Data Science Nigeria to provide one-on-one mentorship to young Nigerians aspiring a career in Data Science. She also volunteers at Women Impact Tech to provide guidance on careers and technology for aspiring young individuals and peers. Jyotika was recognized with Leadership Excellence in Technology award in 2021, Data Science Leadership Award in 2022, DataIQ 100 most influential people in data 2022, and Top 50 Women of Impact 2023.
