I have several years’ senior management experience in various roles, with over 13 years in the NHS, where I have worked with clinicians in the areas of quality management, service improvement and performance management. My areas of interest include quality and performance management, policy development, quality governance, patient safety, risk management, healthcare education, organisational development, service improvement and leadership. I enjoy study and research, and I constantly look for new initiatives that can be applied to my own work area. I have an organised and methodical approach to my work, a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness. I have a strong drive to seeing projects through to successful completion, and for ensuring all tasks are undertaken according to agreed processes and to the highest standards. I am able to work autonomously under my own initiative, working equally well alone or as part of a team. I am very self-motivated, and have the ability to motivate others. I have an enthusiastic approach to work, and I am very flexible and reliable. A combination of sound theoretical knowledge and practical management experience makes me an effective senior manager who enjoys a challenge and is able to quickly become familiar with new areas of work.
