For the companies I work for, I led teams to achieve hyper growth and scaling in a start up organization from both the Operations and the HR perspective. Outside of work, my purpose is to help others have great careers. I’ve received help from so many great mentors throughout my career, that it’s time for me to give back. I host a podcast showcasing Operations and HR leaders who solve “impossible” problems. I also help people who are thinking about a career change or simply want more from their careers. I started my career at Procter & Gamble as a technical engineer, then made my first of many career shifts into manufacturing operations leadership. I moved back to Texas to be closer to family after my first son was born, and at that point, chose to deepen my expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement. I was then tapped on the shoulder to run the supply chain, procurement, and warehousing facilities for the aerospace company I was working for, and quickly fell in love with supply chain. To continue learning more about warehousing and fulfillment, I transitioned to Amazon where I ran several different fulfillment centers. I had always wanted to work in the start up world, so when I was asked by a former colleague to join an up and coming startup, I jumped at the chance. At the start up, I showed up on day one to an office that didn’t even have a desk built for me, and helped them build a thriving operations organization from the ground up. When they needed help in Talent Acquisition and Recruiting, I set that team up for hyper growth, then helped lead on the HR side as well. If you’ve read this far, I would love to meet you.
