I am Chair of the Thames Estuary Growth Board and the Thames Estuary Envoy. In addition, I am an advisor and consultant working on infrastructure, development and regeneration schemes across the UK. I am a senior advisor to Stobart Group, a FTSE 25O Infrastructure and Support Services company. In this advisory role, I help deliver interdisciplinary infrastructure projects including the 2019 relaunch of Carlisle Lake District Airport, property masterplanning and inward investment at both Carlisle and Teesside International Airports, emerging proposals for a new link road from the M62 at Pollington and a clean energy to hydrogen project which will also bring back into use a redundant port on the Manchester Ship Canal. In my government relations role, I work closely, across government departments at national, regional, sub-regional and local levels. I have extensive Non-Executive Director experience. I Chair and have Chaired a number of public/private Government backed Boards including the Thames Estuary Growth Board, Atlantic Gateway (setting infrastructure priorities for the North West), Opportunity South Essex (federated Board of South East Local Enterprise Partnership) and Arts Council North. As Chair of Arts Council North, I also sit on Arts Council National Council and the Performance and Audit Committee. I have extensive additional Board experience with LEPs and associated Boards. I am a seasoned media spokesperson, compelling and enigmatic. I am able to deliver messaging that is clear and concise and which lands how it needs to. I am good at oil on troubled waters.. Over and above this, I am an all round effective communicator and I have a proven track record of inspiring and motivating teams. I am politically aware and astute and I want to make a difference. I bring my energy, passion and business skills to anything I do.
