Kate Woolley is General Manager of IBM’s Ecosystem where she leads global sales and programs that support tens of thousands of IBM Partners who are putting technology to work in the real world, with real results, delivering value to clients with hybrid cloud and AI solutions and services. Kate’s team is responsible for all partners who sell IBM technology, build with or on IBM technology, and/or build services around IBM technology. This includes partners that distribute and sell IBM hardware and software, ISVs, global and regional system integrators, and all our largest Strategic Partners including hyperscalers and the world’s largest technology companies. She is also responsible for all of Ecosystem Engineering and Developer Advocacy. Before leading the IBM Ecosystem, Kate was Chief of Staff to IBM’s CEO, Arvind Krishna. In that role, she played a pivotal part in amplifying the strategic priorities and impact of the CEO across the organization. While working closely with the CEO, Kate gained insight into all parts of IBM’s global footprint, and in doing so, developed a deep appreciation of how critical the partner ecosystem is in fueling IBM’s growth strategy. Prior to joining IBM, Kate was a Partner in the New York office of Bain & Company (2006-2020). Kate was a leader in Bain’s Technology practice where she co-led Bain’s Cloud Computing practice globally. Kate held a number of leadership positions at Bain, including leading the Women@Bain program in New York.
