For most people, NERC compliance and managed security services for renewable assets doesn’t sound very interesting. For me, ensuring renewables are reliable participants on the grid has been important to me for a long time. My approach to NERC compliance and managed security services is largely inspired by desire to demystify the space, and I have been doing so since 2007. Over the years, I have (along with my teams) implemented 200+ compliance programs and completed 40+ NERC audits in all six NERC regions. I am also proud of the three NERC CIP Medium GOP compliant control centers that I established. What this experience has taught me is that there is no secret-sauce, it is as simple as diligence and organization. Currently there are a hand full of women in a leadership role in NERC compliance and managed security services, and I am proud to be one of them.
