Mr. Wong has more than 20 years of experience in the area of data analytics, analytical marketing, CRM, customer intelligence, database and event-based marketing. Within this period of time, Mr. Wong has been working with financial, telecommunication, technology and FMCG organizations around Asia Pacific to help them create strategic business values by unlocking their data assets through analytical techniques. He has taken on regional consulting and business development roles within business consulting and marketing services organizations. He has also taken analytics leadership role for a leading consumer bank with a team of data scientists. Mr. Wong’s background is in data mining and data management where he has earned a post-graduate in the area of predictive modeling. He has developed many analytical models including segmentation, cross/up sell, purchase propensity, customer life time valuation, credit risk modeling and churn prediction. He has also worked extensively on data management issues include data extraction, cleansing and maintain of large data repository. Mr. Wong is currently with OCBC Bank as their Head of Customer Insights. In this role, he leads a team of data scientists, tasked to generate insights and drive data-driven decisions across the bank. Prior to that, Mr. Wong was with SAS Asia Pacific as their Head of Customer Intelligence where he was responsible for evangelizing the use of analytical tools/techniques. Mr. Wong had also taken on Managing Consultant role with IBM Global Business Services where he was part of the Asia Pacific CRM consulting practice. Outside of his professional role, Mr. Wong has been an invited guest speaker at various universities, workshops and conferences in the area of database marketing and analytics. He has also published various data mining research papers in leading conferences around the world.
