Music Teacher turned Graphic Designer turned Marketing + Ecom Specialist? It’s safe to say these past 4 years have been filled with ample professional growth and learning opportunities. To which I said, bring it on! Gifted with creativity, I was drawn to music and the arts from an early age. Looking to practice my talents and expand my musical background, I studied music education in college. Becoming a teacher gave me my summers off and freedom to explore my other creative talents. Having a good eye for design and being a highly tech savvy individual led me into graphic design. A few online courses later, I was excited about this new-found skill and ready to switch careers! Sadly, Udemy doesn’t quite give out B.A. degrees, so I was quite overlooked in this field.. Thats when I got connected with the Founder and CEO of Glam Seamless, Alexandra, who just so happened to be looking for a graphic designer and was willing to hire based off skills and passions, not just resumes. Luckily enough I was given the chance to switch careers and work for this amazing startup company. Now, here’s where all of my knowledge and past experiences failed me. I had NO idea what working for a startup company really meant… Working with ever-changing plans, chipping in wherever needed, learning new programs and processes each week. Let’s just say, I’m great at going with the flow. But the part that I truly didn’t expect was the amount of growth that is possible in a company like this. And for that I am forever grateful. I saw needs change in this fast-growing company and I stepped up with the goal of the company succeeding in mind. I learned about marketing, ecommerce management, email marketing, website conversion, data and analytics, and so much more. Through this company I found my passion in digital marketing. So here I am, Teacher turned Marketer. And freakin proud of it! I have always been a quick and lifelong learner. I am not someone who likes to stay stagnant. I see opportunities and needs and I do my best to fill them. And, I am a natural born leader. All skills that have and will continue to get me far in life. Marketing, websites, e-commerce, graphic design, career changes, tech news, Netflix. Whatever. Let’s connect and talk about it.
