Before starting up Spectacular Fund Series, KL has been acting as the Managing Director / CIO of the asset management division in mainland and international investment banks. During 2008 financial crisis, KL’s flagship funds was ranked amongst the top in Eurekahedge. KL does not restrict himself to traditional analysis. He is a pioneer that use hybrid analysis in investment, that smoothly combines assistive intelligence, fundamental, industry and market cycles research and put them into practice in the fund management. His holistic risk management approach also useful in limiting drawdowns for his funds' investors. KL is a popular professional commentator in the financial media, sharing his viewpoints and beliefs, including Now Finance TV, Bloomberg TV, and author of two investment books in Hong Kong. His exposures as angel investor and venture capitalist also makes him easier to understand ground breaking business models, technologies and R&D. KL is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). He obtained his Master of Electronic Commerce and Internet Computing (Distinction) from University of Hong Kong, and Master of Business Administration (MBA – Dean’s List) from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a first class honour Computer Engineering graduate from University of Hong Kong.
