I am a visiting scientist at IBM research, Zurich. Currently, I'm working on building systems (e.g., the uDepot key-value store) for fast NVM SSDs (e.g., Intel's Optane), and on system support for efficiently executing distributed analytics applications. I've also worked on SALSA, a host translation layer for idiosyncratic storage devices (e.g., Flash SSDs, SMRs). I'm interested in all aspects of systems design and implementation: operating systems, language run-times, storage and network stacks, distributed systems, etc.
