My purpose in life is to use my talents in storytelling, innovation and engagement to inspire people to realize and live their dreams. As Bayer’s Head of Innovation Engagement, I have been very lucky to work with amazing people who have a common goal to enable and activate worldwide employees to innovate in what they do. This setting provides fertile ground to root out and propagate (in the form of films, articles and podcasts) stories about the brightest minds who drive innovation-impact by dreaming big, starting small and failing forward - what could be better for a former journalist? My first roles at Bayer - heading up Strategic Messaging teams for CEO Communications - also provided me with golden opportunities, namely to learn from and work directly with three incredibly-inspiring Chief Executives. I am also very grateful for my time as Management Support to Bayer Crop Science's HR Head, who empowered me to conceptualize pioneering programs in leadership-development, change management and efficiency-enhancement - a role which paved the way for my current role in innovation. I love creating and curating networks of inspiring leaders, innovators and maverick minds who jointly make the magic happen through mutual inspiration, collaboration and dedication. It is always rewarding to work with diverse players who exercise their entrepreneurial mindsets by solving challenges through customer-focused journeys which push the envelope beyond conventional frameworks. Public speaking is another passion of mine: In my current role I have been invited to keynote on Innovation in Learning & Development at cities including Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin and Rovinj - and every time I come away feeling inspired, motivated and energized by the people I connect with. Learning and growing are my north star: My greatest teachers are my two boys, who inspire me every day with their unconditional love; their hunger to grow; and their laughter and lust for life. Beyond home, I also strive to learn and grow by staying on-the-pulse of pioneering and technological advancements. In this sense, my recent training with MIT on the implications of artificial intelligence in business has further confirmed my belief that man and machines have the collective potential to create a better planet today and tomorrow. My family (never a dull moment), mindfulness (teaching and practicing), and music (playing chamber music and ballroom dancing with my husband) provide additional fuels of energy that constantly open up new channels of creativity and inspiration.
