I am committed to moving a healthcare system that cares for the sick to an affordable and accessible health system that keeps people well, with the right technology, at the right time. I have a person-centric, purpose-driven approach to doing business and engaging in work that inspires and energizes the world with the power of better health, and has a positive sustainable impact on the planet we live and breathe on. As the Global Vice President of Impact, I bring significant leadership experience in the patient centered healthcare space to advance ResMed’s focus on impacting over 250 million lives through our 2025 Strategy. The Impact Organization leverages ResMed’s strengths as a health care leader as well as extensive engagement with patients, legislators, regulators and ecosystem partners to advance health equity and create a sustainable world environmentally, socially and led with good and effective corporate governance. I have spent nearly 25 years in the healthcare industry, most recently leading the ResMed Advocacy organization, where I established forward looking programs to improve access to care, affordability for the patient and expand the use of cutting edge digital health tools to enhance the experience and drive health outcomes. Every day, I have an opportunity to work on critical issues through building and executing targeted enterprise strategies to engage with government partners, clinical and patient communities, and other members of the healthcare ecosystem to deliver meaningful insights that support policy making decisions with evidence based perspective, in domestic and international markets that have different stages and types of healthcare delivery models. Impact storytelling is key to creating understanding, empathy, and self-recognition that enables people to think and act differently, whether that is to provide new insights on caring for yourself or loved one, or finally understanding the impact our decisions make on the world around us. Storytelling can inspire the connection between patient stories and regulators, providing a deeper understanding of the direct impact that policy decisions have on lives. The best stories are true. My professional passion for the patient, health equity and access led me to start and lead two organizations focused on social impact, Art into Activism and Hard Knock Productions, which have delivered on a number of projects in the past period and have a full range of activities on the runway for 2023.
