My college degree and post graduate work are both in Sports Medicine, although like the other 60% of college graduates I have found my vocation in a field other than the field of study I completed in university, discovering quickly after graduation that I prefer practicing business to practicing medicine. After a successful seven year career with Target where I promoted rapidly to a Store Team Leader, I left to become a Location General Manager for Carmax. Shortly after that move, the country experienced the great recession starting in 2009. During that recession Carmax reduced to zero growth for a short time and my position was eliminated. The day I was laid off I called my wife and said that I no longer had a job and I was not planning on looking for one. I had decided that I was done working for other people and I was going into business for myself. I reconnected with an old friend and business associate (my current business partner Ryan Babineau) and began buying and selling used assets. That has grown into the company I am the co-founder and CEO of today. RL Liquidators (Reverse Logistics Liquidators) is one of the largest and fastest growing liquidation companies in the Western United States. I love running my own company and don't plan on ever doing anything else.
