Leah Goldfarb serves as Platform.sh’s Environmental Impact Officer. This is a position within the strategy department. Her work is focused on prioritizing actions in the area of climate impact and sustainability. Before joining Platform.sh, Leah served as Senior Science Officer at the Technical Support Unit of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group I (The Physical Science Basis) on the day-to-day project coordination of the Technical Summary of the 6th Assessment Report. Leah also participated in C40’s Women4Climate. Originally trained in atmospheric chemistry (Ph.D. from the University of Colorado), Leah has spent two decades working in the area of environmental science and policy, e.g., on the Grand Challenge for Earth System Science for Global Sustainability. Past professional experiences include working as Science Officer at the International Council for Science (ICSU, now known as the International Council for Science), scientific research projects, teaching at the university, and serving as a scientific consultant to initiatives in France and the US.
