A long time leader and educator in innovative web technologies, Lorelle is the co-founder and Director of Educators in VR, a global network of educators, learners, students, researchers, and passionate enthusiasts integrating virtual and spatial technologies into the classroom and beyond. Lorelle is a popular keynote speaker and workshop leader at conferences and events on the subject of virtual reality, XR, web publishing, social media, presenting in the United States, Israel, The Netherlands, UK, Canada, and around the world virtually and in person. She is also the author and editor of several books and thousands of articles on these subjects. Lorelle produced the 2020 Educators in VR International Summit, a ground-breaking and record-breaking virtual-only conference, the first of its kind, featuring 170 speakers in 150+ events on 5 virtual platforms over 6 days for over 6,000 event attendees. The 2021 UniVirtual Experience conference in partnership with Educators in VR and the Virtual World Society was another ground-breaking and record-breaking VR only event hosting 160 events across 20 different VR immersive platforms over 30 days. The 2022 UniVirtual Experience with Educators in VR hosts monthly one-to-two day conferences produced by 24 individual Educators in VR teams focusing on immersive education and training industries. Lorelle is an evangelist for freedom of speech and technology that helps people have their say, opening up networks and lines of communication globally. Her focus today continues in that tradition with innovations such as virtual social and educational spaces such as AltspaceVR, ENGAGE, and others to help individuals and businesses find their way in this new virtual and highly social world. Lorelle VanFossen blogged before there were blogs in 1994 with one of the first websites still in continued existence in the world. She continues innovating today with Educators in VR membership organization to help educators, learners, researchers, and students integrate immersive technologies into education. A long time advocate and ''evangelist'' for WordPress, she taught the world's first WordPress course at Clark College and teaches writing for the web and web publishing at other colleges and educational facilities, including in the online and virtual world. She developed the WordPress Codex and WordPress and WordPress.com Support Forums and websites as a senior editor and contributor.
