Passionate about everything IT, with a special interest for cloud services and virtualization: IaaS, Disaster Recovery, DRaaS, Data Protection, Storage, Networking. Always in search of new, groundbreaking technologies to work with. I started with general IT, then moved into Informaton Security (in 2004 I gained the CISSP security certification that I always keep current, as well as ISECOM OPSA and ISO27001), and then I ''fall in love'' with virtualization since 2006. Lately, thanks to my jos as a Cloud Architect focusing on service providers, I moved my focus in Cloud Services. I enjoy beeing a conjunction point between my employer and our customers, and to be an active part of the growth of the company and its technologies. I like to talk about the technologies I use and know with customers, colleagues and peers; and I share my knowledge with all the media I can use: webinars, white papers, blog articles, conference speeches. Thanks to the coverage of the entire EMEA region I'm responsible for, I've learned how to work in multiple and different cultural environments, and be able to interact with multiple people with different backgrounds and skill sets; I can easily manage conversations from CxO level to operations and deep technical people. I'm one of the founders of the Italian VMware User Group (VMUG.IT), also VMware vExpert from 2011 to 2020. I'm the author of virtualtothecore.com, an independent blog on virtualization technologies. Founded in 2008, is updated with detailed guides, insights about new products, and analysis of emerging technologies, with a particular interest for Storage and Data Protection, and lately to Cloud services.
