Magdalena Krön, Rise Global FinTech Platform Director at Barclays, is building a network of the most transformative technologies in financial services today. Magdalena is leading Rise’s mission to bring technology, talent and trends in FinTech together to accelerate innovation for Barclays and the financial industry as a whole. In her current role Magdalena keeps one foot in the startup world and another foot in the corporate world as she’s facilitating connections between the two. As an advocate for improving gender diversity in finance and tech, Magdalena is actively supporting D&I initiatives and is also co-founder and advisor for Geek Girl Meetup UK. In 2020 Magdalena won the Women in Finance 'Young Leader of the Year' award. She has also previously been repetadly featured on the Innovate Finance Powerlist and in 2018 she won the Women in Finance Awards for 'Finance Rising star of the Year' and 'FinTech Champion of the Year'.
