Specialised in computer networks (e.g., TCP/IP, IPv6, MPLS, Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth, DNS HTTP, SMTP, IoT, VANET, optical networks) and information security (e.g., Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, TLS, IPsec, 802.1X, WPA2, SSH, authentication, PKI, usable security). Experience developing networking protocols in C and Java. Post-doctoral stay at Ericsson Research Finland. Author of 21 papers in JCR journals, 30 national and international congresses, 7 IETF drafts and 5 patents. Participation in 7 European research projects, 5 national and 4 regional ones, besides working as a consultant for several companies and public organisations. Experience on management and leadership of national and international research groups.
