Ever since I experienced the magic of converting sunlight into electricity and giving the many people a chance to produce their own energy, I loved the technology and possibilities it unlocks for us. Since 2001, my professional focus has been in the field of decentralized renewable energy generation. This journey started at the Swedish start-up, PV-Enterprise, one of the first building blocks of emerging European photovoltaic industry. Taking different management positions at PVE, in 2006 I joined the Board of Directors, which led and launched our very successful IPO at Nasdaq First North. Next I continued at Nordpeak Consulting, leading the team which worked with projects positioned across the entire solar PV supply chain. Our scope of consulting services extended from R&D and industrial manufacturing to commercial & utility-level downstream application of solar PV technology and finally into the retail space. During the 11 years of working in consulting services, I had the privilege of co-creating with some of the most influential individuals and brands in the renewable energy industry, but also got involved in the young ecosystem of emerging technologies such as DLT and XR. Since 2019, I represent IKEA’s Global Clean Energy team. We are a new business unit which stems from Group Sustainability & Innovation and operates from the company HQ in Malmö, Sweden. Besides a strong focus on energy, my professional experience extends across other business areas characterized by exponential growth such as - Mixed Reality, Spatial Computing, Deep Learning and Distributed Ledger Technologies - all of which I see as strongly interconnected and forming a larger paradigm shift we are going through as a species.
