Starting out my career, the ambition was to become a hotshot lawyer... Off to a good start, I initially qualified as a Danish lawyer specialising in employment law and energy law. I then went on to qualify as Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales (great title, right?) and to gain in-house experience in London and in Zürich. And along the way I found out that I prefer working as part of a company rather than being external legal advisor. And that I much prefer finding mutually beneficial solutions rather than going to court. From there, the step from Legal into HR / People & Culture was obvious, and I have subsequently obtained hands-on experience in the full HR-palette; attraction, recruitment, onboarding, rewards, HR partnering, D&I, performance management, people development, off-boarding etc. Since 2019 I have been overall responsible for People & Culture in Danske Commodities, and I love being able to set the strategic HR direction in a great company built by incredible people. Being able to contribute to creating an outstanding workplace for my colleagues is what makes me smile every day on the way to the office.
