I'm CEO and one of the co-founders of DropCap. Our software platform helps book publishing companies in the US, Canada and UK market, monetize and manage the translation rights for their titles. We have facilitated 1,525 rights licenses since launching our company. From 2006-2016, I was CEO/Founder of Hillcrest Media Group, a book publishing company that grew from an idea I had rollerblading in 2006 to a 30-person business that published more than 11,000 titles. It was exciting to watch my company grow along with the entire self-publishing industry. It was as wonderful a business experience as I could ever hope to have, working with the kind of employee team that every employer wishes they had. And, when the company sold in 2016 to Salem Media Group (NASDAQ: SALM), it gave me the time and resources to focus on my passion of domain name investing as well as investing in other interesting businesses and real estate. But, in 2018, the opportunity to help launch DropCap with some fellow Hillcrest alums and the best translation rights agent I've ever known, was too exciting to pass up.
