Policy sponsor in DfT's Smart Motorways team, working closely with National Highways and ORR on operational technology performance with a focus on improving safety outcomes and public understanding. Previously in DfT's Local Transport Policy and Funding team working on stuff like: devolution, funding simplification and accountability, Live Labs 2 decarb innovation competition, new data standard for road condition monitoring, and Spending Review prep. Previously to that a technical consultant specialising in operational and safety performance and ITS solutions for both Highways England and local government clients, with a particular focus on smart motorway monitoring and ITS strategy development.
