I am the Founder and President of Co-Bio Consulting, LLC as well as Strategic Director of NEWDIGS at the MIT Center for Biomedical Innovation and a Visiting Scientist at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Applied Economics. Co-Bio Consulting focuses on precision medicine economics, healthcare public policy, and economic development. It helps life sciences organizations connect strategy to action, especially for quantifying the commercial value of their research-based innovations. The firm also helps facilitate academic, government and industry consortia to grow Life Sciences economic clusters. I am a former member of MassBio's Board of Directors and further served as their interim president for over a year. As an entrepreneur, I founded and was the first President and CEO of Cantata Laboratories which used its metabolomic profiling platform to move an clinical diagnostic from discovery to successful launch and reimbursement in only 14 months. Prior to Cantata, I spent over 10 years at Monsanto/Pfizer, culminating my career there as Co-President and Chief Operating Officer of Cereon Genomics in Cambridge, MA - a 5-year, $500M collaboration with Millennium Pharmaceuticals (now Takeda Oncology). Prior to this I was responsible for Monsanto's genomics relationships and held roles of Vice President in the Health & Wellness Sector, and Marketing Director in Searle Pharmaceutical during which I participated in over $2B of transactions and sat on multiple portfolio company boards. I began my career in high tech at Wang Laboratories and at Kenan Systems which exited to Lucent for >$1 billion. I hold degrees in Chemistry from Stanford University and Management from MIT.
