I have over 32 years of experience in the field of engineering geology, rock mechanics, strategic underground studies, ground conditions assessment, ground related risks and their inherent variability with ground and geological models. This experience mostly relates to construction risks in the field of tunnelling, foundations and site formation development. I have carried out, led and coordinated appraisals for site specific geology, natural terrain hazard studies as well as regional geological studies for numerous projects such as tunnelling both drill and blast tunnels and TBM tunnels, site formation works, slope stabilisation works, foundations and large rock cut slopes. I have oversight for the Engineering Geology, GIS and Tunnelling related business and skills within the East Asia region and I have carried out project work in various countries from Hong Kong, China, Macau, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, UK and Ireland. I have led and completed various Underground Rock Cavern and Urban Underground Space studies in Hong Kong. Study on the Enhanced Use of Underground Space in HK, Long Term Strategy for Rock Cavern Development and Territory Wide study on the Urban Underground. I have also worked on numerous MTR projects both for MTR and on Tender Designs with Contractors.
