Bio

I am the CEO of Scale Ireland, the not-for-profit independent representative organisation for Irish tech start-up and scaling companies. There are currently more than 2,000 start-up companies in Ireland, employing 47,000 people. I am also a member of the global network of start-up organisations; a board member of Dóchas, the Irish association of development and humanitarian organisations; and a member of Ireland’s independent National Health Screening Advisory Committee. A graduate of University College Dublin, I completed a leadership programme at Harvard Business School in March 2022, and was previously a Visiting Fellow at Columbia University in New York. Prior to 2019, I was a leading journalist in Dublin including Political Correspondent with Ireland’s national broadcaster, RTÉ, and author of a critically acclaimed best-selling book, Madam Politician, on Irish female government ministers.
