I am currently a founder at Ovamba . Ovamba provides turn key solutions to empower banks/investors to finance previously ''un-financeable'' micro, small and medium-sized businesses in frontier and developing markets globally. Prior to Ovamba, I was a management consulting professional with Mckinsey & Co's Sub Saharan office, and a private equity professional with experience leading transactions in Greater China, the United States, and Sub Saharan Africa. I was the founder and lead consultant for Strategos Global, a boutique investment management and consulting firm which focused on emerging market issues. Prior to Strategos - I served as a management consultant and merger & acquisitions advisor with Deloitte, I've led post-merger integration, process improvement and divestiture projects on behalf of financial and strategic investors. Transactions I've helmed include corporate divestitures and resulting sales to leading Private Equity Firms, re-structuring financial operations of a USD 1Billion+ REIT, and the growth acquisition of e-businesses in emerging markets by US firms. In addition, I've advised on Forex hedging and trading strategy at boutique investment banks and led due diligence for leveraged buyouts, restructurings, reverse-mergers, PIPEs and re-capitalizations in Brazil, United States, Southern Africa and North-Central China. Additionally, I am a contributing author to books on China, Africa and emerging markets investing.
