When I first joined Newcastle University I threw myself into radio presenting. I got a late night slot on the local hospital station, Radio Tyneside. I have now been doing shows there for 3 years and present the Breakfast show on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. My time at the station won me the 'Best Newcomer Award' at the 2016 National Hospital Radio Awards, where I was chosen out of over 200 stations. I was also shortlisted for 'Best Male Presenter' at the 2018 ceremony. As I entered my final year, I started an online series called StreetSmart. The premise was simple: Grab a microphone, grab a camera, head into the Newcastle city centre at midnight and interview everyone who would say yes. The videos have been very well received and to date, I have made a total of 33 videos and accrued a total of over 10million views.
