Bio

Meena Khalili is a professor of design and interaction, at the University of South Carolina School of Visual Art + Design. She holds a BFA in Illustration and an MFA in Graphic Design from VCUarts. She is Co-Chair of the National AIGA Design Educators Community Steering Committee. Meena is an International Design Awards recipient and received the National Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement in Graphic Design by the Southeastern College Art Conference. Her research is driven by her experiences as an Iranian-American. She maintains an international speaking and exhibition schedule with work shown at the TCD, Chicago Design Museum, and galleries throughout North America, Asia, and Europe. Meena’s designs are in permanent collections at the VCU Libraries Special Collections and Archives, the Omni Hotel Louisville, and the Library of Congress.
