Meghan Schultz leads Invenergy’s finance and capital markets team which is responsible for raising capital for all wind, solar, transmission and natural gas power projects that Invenergy builds around the world. Her team of approximately 50 professionals works closely with the Business Development and Sales & Marketing teams to analyze project economics, structure transactions and support investment decisions. The team also manages the portfolio finance function for approximately 10GW of operating projects, executes M&A transactions and maintains investor and lender relationships. Meghan recently took on oversight of the Global Risk team, which includes insurance, settlements, risk management and international finance operations. Meghan has overseen the execution of more than $25 billion in private equity investments, power plant acquisitions and sales, and project debt and tax equity financing. Meghan has been involved in the execution of over 22 GW of new renewable energy and gas fired generation projects. Meghan is passionate about promoting women within the company and the industry. She led the effort to establish the Invenergy Women’s Network in 2015, which is the first affinity group at Invenergy and focuses on recruiting, mentoring and retaining female employees. Meghan is also a founding member of the Chicago Chapter of WRISE and received the WRISE Leadership Award in 2018. She is a member of Invenergy's Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee. Meghan’s expertise has been recognized by industry organizations: Power Finance and Risk Sponsor Finance Official of 2016 and 2019 (voted on by industry participants) and A Word About Wind’s “Women’s Power List” that named top female dealmakers and power brokers shaping the wind industry in 2017. Prior to joining Invenergy in 2008, Schultz was a Vice President at Bank of America and at ABN AMRO. She earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
