Mehpare Alp graduated from Middle East Technical University with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1992 she was transferred to an American training company Northern NEF, Inc., training subcontractor of FNSS Defense Systems, as an Administrative Manager and served 10 years as the Country Manager. Alp prepared training programs for FNSS employees to cover management, technical, quality, health and safety areas where she used instructors from Turkey and abroad. She conducted ‘Leadership and Cultural Change’ programs for FNSS and served as an instructor. Her training support for FNSS was not limited with the in-house training but also covered suppliers and customers. She conducted systematic studies for measuring the effectiveness of the training programs. Alp established Unida Ankara branch in 2005 to provide human resources and training services. Unida provided a broad spectrum of services comprising mainly of HR consultancy and recruitment. HR consultancy services included; performance management system, corporate culture change programs, design of HR processes, building or rehabilitation of compensation and reward schemes, career planning and salary systems. She also served as FranklinCovey programs facilitator for the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program. She conducted the program to the military and many major private sector companies. As the HR Director for FNSS for the last 9 years and after serving almost for a decade as Training and Development Manager in the same company, she oversees all HR functions ranging from platform HR to managing all HR processes such as selection and placement, performance management, career management, talent management, and coaching. With her belief in making her job highly challenging is working in a company that relies on an outstanding work force mainly specially trained engineers engaged in R&D and design activities with a diverse body of share holders both global and local.
