I am working with a bunch of incredible individuals across the world who are committed to transforming the built environment. I believe that we need to create the future we want rather than being recipients of the future we get. I was one of the instigators of the UK 'Our Vision for the Built Environment' which describes that future: a built environment whose explicit purpose is to enable people and nature to flourish together for generations. As Head of Programmes for the Infrastructure Client Group (ICG), I bring together the most progressive infrastructure clients, industry leaders, Government representatives and the wider built environment ecosystem in the UK, to share best practice in order to accelerate change and improve the performance of infrastructure. ICG leads the Construction Leadership Council Infrastructure Industry Working Group to amplify its impact across the wider industry. My areas of focus are: a systems approach to managing the built environment; Project 13, the outcome-focused, collaborative delivery model; digital transformation (including smart infrastructure, digital delivery, connected digital twins, data and information); carbon reduction, circular economy & biodiversity and equality, diversity & inclusion – in the knowledge that it is the combination of these things that will bring about change. I am a member of the World Economic Forum Digital Twin Cities Project Global Advisory Committee, Global Infrastructure Hub InfraTech Leaders Ecosystem, United Nations Industrial Development Organisation's Deep Decarbonisation Initiative, Construction Leadership Council Task Force and co-chair of both the Project 13 Adopter Community and the Digital Twin Hub Community Council. I am also a member of the UN Women UK community, including as part of the delegation to the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women 2023. I want you to act as you would in a crisis.
