One of the greatest lessons I have ever learned started on a Greyhound bus from Buffalo NY to Columbus OH. I decided to show up to an Ohio State football practice with some film from my year playing at a much smaller school and ask the recruiting coordinator if I could try out the coming fall. The opportunity to be a member of the 2002 National Championship team a season later only came after years of rigorous training, continuous practice, and most importantly, the opportunity to work with world class teammates and coaches who never settled for anything less than the best. My experience in Columbus taught me that with the right mix of discipline and teamwork, anything can be accomplished. Regardless of where I am or what I am doing, I think of the journey as a continuation of that bus ride to Columbus.
